Description:
The Safe Sitter program is a medically accurate, hands-on class that teaches adolescents (ages 11-13) how to handle emergencies when caring for children. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Class runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Cost is $40 which covers instructional materials and a tee-shirt. Participants must bring a bag lunch. The community is invited to attend a free Health Talk program and luncheon about orthopedic interventions for arthritis of the hip and knee. Dr. George Azar, orthopedic surgeon with Lexington Orthopedic Clinic, will be the presenter.
